S.I.B.S Day at Primary Children’s

Lily and two of her S.I.B.S

S.I.B.S Day is offered twice a year (March and October) at Primary Children’s Medical Center for Super Important Brothers and Sisters.  It is a workshop for siblings (ages 5-17) of children with disabilities or chronic illnesses. The following is information straight from the Primary Children’s Website:

The Family Support Services Department of Primary Children’s Medical Center is sponsoring a workshop for well brothers and sisters who have a sibling with chronic medical conditions or disabilities. Participants will be divided into groups according to age. The workshop will create opportunities, through games, music, art and activities, to interact with others in similar situations. It will be a place where children can express themselves, learn from others, explore new ways to cope, and recognize that they are not alone in their thoughts and feelings. TEEN SIBS day is similar to SIBS day for youth, but is held in a separate area with different activities designed for teens. A lunch will be provided. Please wear pants and sturdy shoes.
